New Passion- Pop-Art

#pop-art #painting #newpassion

My new passion - is painting in pop-art style, it's so bright and awesome, I like it so much))
Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid-1950s in Britain and in the late 1950s in the United States.[1] Pop art presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular culture such as advertising and news. In pop art, material is sometimes visually removed from its known context, isolated, and/or combined with unrelated material.[1][2] The concept of pop art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.[2]
Pop art employs aspects of mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural objects. It is widely interpreted as a reaction to the then-dominant ideas of abstract expressionism, as well as an expansion upon them.[3] And due to its utilization of found objects and images it is similar to Dada. Pop art is aimed to employ images of popular as opposed to elitist culture in art, emphasizing the banal or kitschy elements of any given culture, most often through the use of irony.[2] It is also associated with the artists' use of mechanical means of reproduction or rendering techniques.
Pop art and minimalism are considered to be art movements that precede postmodern art, or are some of the earliest examples of Post-modern art themselves.[4]
Pop art often takes as its imagery that which is currently in use in advertising. Product labeling and logos figure prominently in the imagery chosen by pop artists, as in the Campbell's Soup Cans labels, by Andy Warhol. Even the labeling on the shipping box containing retail items has been used as subject matter in pop art, for example in Warhol's Campbell's Tomato Juice Box 1964, (pictured below), or his Brillo Soap Box sculptures. Color!

#color #art #colorpainting
The soul of painting - color! It has amazing properties.
We use color not just for "showing" natural view of subjects, artist uses color to give emotions, to make a mood, to tell something symbolic. Especially it's characteristically for pure colors paintings.
What do you see on this painting?

Just lines, circles, triangles and so on, but if you look on colors of this sketch, you feel joy, you can see childhood or something else, makes you smile.
So... what do you see on this painting?
Not so much fun... yes? May be something calm...
close to natural... something yours...
Through the color artist can affect on emotions... create a mood....

#art #painting #sketch #nightpicture
I made sketch on paper and then paint original painting. So...

You can see, that they're not equal, I need sketch just for realizing what it will be, composition, light, colors...

My paintings!

 #bodysoul #breast #art #achrilycpainting
I promised, I do!
Show you, how I make my paintings.
At first, I prepare "canvas", I use for it board or  paperboard, which cover the primer. using a sponge, like this...
Sometimes I use a black acrylic primer, like this...
I cover the paperboard twice.
Then... when it will dry, I start painting, sometimes I need a pencil to apply lines, but if I made a lot of sketches before, I can paint without it, by brush straight.
Then I start to paint from the lightest place of paining, like this...
Then others parts.

I use just pure colors, not mixed.

At last, I insert my painting in a frame.
That's all))

Technique of watercolor pencils drawing

#watercolor pencils #art #selfportrait
I like to use many techniques for my creation, but now I want to tell you about Technique of watercolor pencils drawing, because right now it's my lovely material. So why? Watercolor pencils have a lot of advantages:
1. Brightness of colors;
2. Easiness, you can make a picture by pencils and correct it in process, unlike watercolor;
3. Pencils are convenient, if you want to make a sketch outside, it's easy to take on vacation, you can finish picture with brush and water later.
4. Finely sharpened pencil give you possibility make details of picture more jewelry.
5. By watercolor pencils you can make sketches for watercolor pictures and be sure that lines will be seen through the color.
6. Many colors, not necessary to mix colors, but if you want, you can do it, just make lines of one color on the other and then  blur.
Pay attention!
Use watercolor paper for this drawing technique, 120 g/m2, if you don't use water, and 200 g/m2, if you're going to use water.
Use a soft brush.
Remember, that watercolor pencils are difficult to erase.
It's better to use water for each part of picture severally, not all colors together, because you can make it dirty and spoil it.
It was some useful information about watercolor pencils, now I want to show you my sketch in this technique, this is self-portrait, made without brush and water.
To be continued...
